Gente (pronounced "ghen-teh") comes from the word
"gentei", which means "limited" in Japanese.
We are a subsidiary of Asunarosya Co. Ltd.,
which is one of the largest licensee of Sanrio Japan
and is widely known for their creation of
"Gotochi" (which means "regional") Hello Kitty®
items throughout the world.
Gente California, Inc. is a licensee of Sanrio as well,
and offer Japanese-style Hello Kitty® Sanrio-ya products
and U.S. Hello Kitty® "Gotochi" souvenir items.
